Product Overview
SINOSEIKO (or SSK Diamond) manufactures a comprehensive range of PCBN and PCD cutting inserts in standard ISO geometries and custom profiles. Our inserts combine the extreme hardness and wear resistance of superhard materials with precision-ground cutting edges for exceptional machining performance.
PCBN Inserts are designed for machining ferrous materials (hardened steels, cast irons) where conventional carbide tools fail. PCD Inserts excel at machining non-ferrous materials (aluminum, copper, composites) providing mirror-finish surface quality.
Working Principle
Both PCBN and PCD inserts are manufactured by HPHT sintering of fine abrasive particles (CBN or diamond) with metallic binders onto a tungsten carbide substrate. The resulting cutting edge combines the hardness of the superhard layer with the toughness of the carbide base. During machining, the superhard cutting layer removes material with minimal wear, while the carbide substrate absorbs cutting forces and prevents tool fracture.
