Product Overview
SINOSEIKO (or SSK Diamond) manufactures Carbided PCBN inserts β combining a thin layer of polycrystalline cubic boron nitride brazed onto a tough tungsten carbide substrate. This hybrid construction delivers the best of both worlds: the extreme hardness and wear resistance of PCBN on the cutting face, backed by the shock-absorbing toughness of carbide. Based in Zhengzhou, Henan, we operate advanced testing laboratories to ensure every insert meets rigorous quality standards.
Working Principle
Carbided PCBN is produced by HPHT-sintering a thin PCBN layer (0.5β1.0mm) directly onto a pre-formed tungsten carbide insert body. The metallurgical bond between PCBN and carbide is achieved through controlled diffusion of the binder phase. During machining, the PCBN layer provides the cutting hardness needed for ferrous materials, while the carbide substrate absorbs cutting vibrations and prevents catastrophic tool failure.

Application
Sinoseik PCBN is ideal for tools used for the machining of high hardness and hard processed ferrous materials (HRC45-65), such as harden steel, pearlitic gray cast iron, high temperature alloy, high-speed steel, hard facing alloys, Ni-Cr alloy, powder metallurgy metals. PCBN is typically used to machine brake discs, engine blocks, engine cylinder liners, brake drums, flywheels, valve seats and guides, gears, mold and die parts, etc.
