Product Overview
SINOSEIKO (or SSK Diamond) DTH (Down-The-Hole) drill bits feature PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) cutters replacing traditional carbide buttons. The PDC-enhanced design offers high strength, extreme hardness, superior wear resistance, impact resistance, and self-sharpening characteristics that address the wear limitations of conventional carbide DTH bits in complex geological conditions.
Our PDC DTH drill bits deliver 5β20Γ greater wear resistance than standard carbide alternatives. Combined with customer-specific design optimization based on actual rock analysis, our bits are precisely tailored to each drilling environment for maximum penetration rate and extended bit life.
Working Principle
In DTH drilling, compressed air drives a pneumatic hammer directly behind the drill bit, transmitting impact energy with minimal loss. The PDC cutters on the bit face simultaneously crush and shear rock formation as the bit rotates. Unlike conventional carbide buttons that wear through abrasion, PDC cutters maintain their cutting edge due to their extreme hardness (HV β₯ 6000) and self-sharpening action. This results in consistently high rate of penetration (ROP) throughout the bit’s service life.
