    Product Overview

    SINOSEIKO (or SSK Diamond) PDC (Polycrystalline Diamond Compact) Picks consist of an alloy steel body, a tungsten carbide holder, and a superhard PDC cutting element. Each pick body is manufactured to standard design dimensions, ensuring full compatibility with all existing pick drums, brackets, and tools used across industrial applications.

    The PDC cutting elements used in our picks are sourced from certified manufacturing partners selected by SINOSEIKO (or SSK Diamond). They feature a layer of polycrystalline diamond integrally sintered onto a tungsten carbide substrate under ultra-high pressure and high temperature, providing unmatched cutting performance in abrasive rock and coal formations.

    Working Principle

    PDC picks operate by fracturing and shearing rock or coal formations as the mining drum rotates. The PDC cutting tip β€” composed of ultra-hard polycrystalline diamond bonded to a tough tungsten carbide substrate β€” penetrates the formation with significantly less force than conventional carbide-tipped picks. This results in faster penetration rates, lower energy consumption, reduced dust generation, and dramatically extended service life.
